Liability insurance: Lawyers are obliged by the Federal Lawyers' Act to maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum sum insured of 250,000 euros. The details can be found in § 51 BRAO.
Dr. Julian Oberndörfer has professional liability insurance with:

Territorial scope of the insurance cover:
The insurance cover does not apply to liability claims arising from activities via law firms and offices established or maintained in other countries in connection with the lawyer's advice and involvement with non-European law before non-European courts

In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution at the regional bar association upon request (pursuant to § 73 para. 2 No. 3 in conjunction with Section 73 (5) BRAO) or at the arbitration board of the legal profession at the Federal Bar Association (Section 191f BRAO), which can be found on the website of the Federal Bar Association (www.brak.de or by email: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de).
